MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR LAS VEGAS RETIREMENT

A study by SmartAsset in 2018 reported that Las Vegas, Nevada was fifth on their top ten list of cities gaining the most retirees in the country. Henderson, Nevada, a city just outside of Las Vegas, took the number one spot on that same list. Why are retirees choosing to pack their bags and settle in a city known for casinos and gambling?

In one of my previous posts, we discussed many of the different activities that retirees can look forward to partaking in when they reside in the Las Vegas area. Today, we will be going into detail and looking at the top five places to go for some of the most popular activities for retirees!

We will also be looking at the retirement communities that come with a dream-like lifestyle and amenities that are hard to live without.

Also, if you love food as much as I do, then you might want to check out the section about the best-rated buffets in the city. There is much more to do than gamble and go out to clubs in the City that Never Sleeps!

THE BEST FREE SHOWS AND ENTERTAINMENT ON THE LAS VEGAS STRIP

Without World Class entertainment, Las Vegas would not be so widely known around the world. Many of the Vegas shows can get pricey, but you can still find plenty of free hidden talents across the metropolitan area. Many of these activities would be great for friends and family to see as you show them what Las Vegas is really all about!

1. Fremont Street Experience – On Main Street you can find free live entertainment every day of the week while finding live music usually about once a month! Bands ranging from ‘80s Station to Alter Ego play their top hits for no cost! You can also enjoy all the street performers who are there nightly. A night out on Fremont street is needed to really get a feel for the life of Las Vegas that many dream about experiencing!

2. Bellagio Fountains – This free attraction occurs every 15 or 30 minutes depending on the time of day. Watch the water dance up and down as beautiful music plays in the background! This fountain show is a must-see for everyone new to Vegas or maybe even if you have a few minutes to kill!

You can see a close-up volcano shoot flames left and right as the floor rumbles beneath your feet from the intense music barrelling through the air.

4. Circus Act – When the grandchildren come into town it may be difficult to find some kid-friendly attractions. What is better than bringing them to watch a circus act of trapeze tricks and juggling masters? You can find this inside the Circus Circus hotel and the show occurs each hour starting at 11:30 am.

5. The Fall of Atlantis – Starting at 11 am and playing every hour on the hour, you can watch the Fall of Atlantis between taking some shops at Caesar’s Forum Shops.
